Eiry decided on our WeedTex Garden Membrane 50gsm to cover the base of his raised bed planters. Using a weed fabric such as this one from WeedTex, will help prepare the ground and allow more growth room for plants, shrubs and vegetables by reducing unwanted weeds.  

Raised beds are great, as the soil in them warms and dries out earlier in the spring than regular ground garden beds, so you can often plant sooner in springtime.

Top Tip:  Keep your raised bed well watered in hot weather, as raised beds can often dry out quicker.
